Newly published behavioral intentions study shows adult cigarette users more likely to use vaping brand
MELBOURNE, Florida (April 17, 2023) – Smokers 21 and older are far more likely to use or consider using the BIDI® Stick brand of electronic vaping devices than are adults who don’t smoke or vape, according to a recently published study.
In the nationwide study of 8,056 participants, legal age adult smokers and current vape users—people who represent intended users of the BIDI® Stick—reported moderate levels of positive intention to use a BIDI® Stick regularly in each of the brand’s 11 flavors. Unintended users of the BIDI® Stick – i.e., adults who have never, have never regularly or do not currently smoke cigarettes and/or use vape devices – reported far lower levels of intention to use a BIDI® Stick, the study concluded.

Study authors also conclude that the BIDI® Stick “may also be acceptable to a moderate proportion of adult smokers as a partial or complete replacement for cigarettes.”
Data from this study “can be used as input parameters to improve modeling of the effects that the BIDI® Stick e-cigarette may have on overall smoking-related morbidity and mortality in the U.S.,” study authors said.
